Quota Corrections (IT 2013)

Quota Corrections:

This Infotype is used to change the Accrual of the Absences by Time evaluation on a particular day. The infotype information entered is taken into consideration when you run the Time Evaluation next time.

There are three options in order to Change the Accrual Entitlement.

    1. Increase Generated Entitlement.
      • This option is to increase the Generated Entitlement of the Absence on a particular day with a constant value.
    2. Reduce Generated Entitlement.
      • This option is to reduce the Generated Entitlement of the Absence on a particular day with a constant value.
    3.  Replace Generated Entitlement.
      • This option is to replace the Generated Entitlement of the Absence on a particular day with a constant value.

There are three options in order to Transfer Accrual Entitlement

    1. Do not Change Transfer Time.
      • With this option the Quota Corrections are not transferred until the time which normally Time Evaluation transfers the data to IT2006.
    2. Transfer Collected Entitlement Immediately (X).
      • With this option the Quota Correction  along with already existing entitlement in IT2006 are available in IT2006 after when you run the next Time Evaluation for this employee.
    3. Only Transfer Quota Correction Immediately (Y).
      • With this option the Quota Correction are available in IT2006 after when you run the next Time Evaluation for this employee.

You can view the results of the quota correction in the Quota Overview (Transaction PT50).

Example: 

Scenario:

A person is supposed to earn 1 hour sick leave a day from Monday to Friday.


Case 1: Without any 2013 Record

On Monday           Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1          Tot Quota: 1.

On Tuesday          Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1          Tot Quota: 2.

On Wednesday     Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1          Tot Quota: 3.

On Thursday         Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1          Tot Quota: 4.

On Friday              Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1          Tot Quota: 5.

So, Total Entitlement  = 5

Total Quota         = 5

Case 2:  With 2013 Quota Correction INCREASE on Wednesday with value 4.

On Monday          Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1           Tot Quota: 1.

On Tuesday         Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1           Tot Quota: 2.

On Wednesday    Accrual = 1      2013: +4       Day Quota: 5           Tot Quota: 7.

On Thursday        Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1           Tot Quota: 8.

On Friday             Accrual = 1                            Day Quota: 1           Tot Quota: 9.

On Wednesday, there is a normal entitlement which is 1 and there is a 2013 record with (INCREASE) 4 so,

On Wednesday   Day Quota : 1 + 4 = 5.        Total Quota: 2 + 5 = 7

Please note that the increase happened to that particular day only, and a 2013 values id was added to Entitlement.

So, Total Entitlement  =  5 (1+1+1+1+1)
2013                    = +4
Total Quota          =  9

Case 3:  With 2013 Quota Correction REDUCE on Wednesday with value 4.

On Monday          Accrual = 1                                  Day Quota: 1              Tot Quota: 1.

On Tuesday          Accrual = 1                                  Day Quota: 1              Tot Quota: 2.

On Wednesday    Accrual = 1       2013: -4             Day Quota:-3              Tot Quota:-1.

On Thursday        Accrual = 1                                  Day Quota: 1              Tot Quota: 0.

On Friday             Accrual = 1                                  Day Quota: 1               Tot Quota: 1.

On Wednesday, there is a normal entitlement which is 1 and there is a 2013 record with (REDUCE) 4 so,

On Wednesday   Day Quota : 1 – 4 = – 3.        Total Quota: 2 – 3 = -1

Please note that the reduction happened to that particular day only and a 2013 values id was deducted from Entitlement.

So, Total Entitlement  =  5 (1+1+1+1+1)
2013                     = -4
Total Quota          =  1

Case 4:  With 2013 Quota Correction REPLACE on Wednesday with value 4.

On Monday          Accrual = 1                                         Day Quota: 1              Tot Quota: 1.

On Tuesday         Accrual = 1                                         Day Quota: 1              Tot Quota: 2.

On Wednesday    Accrual = 1         2013: =4                Day Quota: 4               Tot Quota: 6.

On Thursday        Accrual = 1                                        Day Quota: 1               Tot Quota: 7.

On Friday             Accrual = 1                                        Day Quota: 1                Tot Quota: 8.

On Wednesday, there is a normal entitlement which is 1 and there is a 2013 record with(REPLACE) 4 so,

On Wednesday  Day Quota : 4                 Total Quota: 2 + 4 = 6

Please note that the replace happened to that particular day only and a 2013 values id was replaced with Entitlement.

So, Total Entitlement   =  8 (1+1+4+1+1)
2013                     =  4 (Which replaced 1 on Wednesday)
Total Quota          =  8

Note:

If you use a quota correction, the Infotype 2006 does not take account of the corrections immediately, the changes will be taken into account only when the next Time Evaluation runs, but if you want the 2013 corrected accrual information to be shown in IT2006 immediately, then you have an option of setting the Transfer field to Transfer Collected Entitlement Immediately.

Creating Quota Entitlement (IT2006) using Quota Corrections (IT2013) is possible, but SAP does not suggest doing this unless and until the use of quotas is very clear to the business. The further processing of these quotas with all the Absence Quota customizations may not be possible.
