Differentiator for payroll results with the same for-period.

Use

The system assigns a status indicator to each payroll result.

If a payroll result is no longer up-to-date due to retroactive accounting, it is not deleted, instead the system assigns it a different status indicator.

Structure

There are three different status indicators:

• A for the current result

• P for the previous result

• O for all other results

As the following example shows, there can only be one result with the status indicator A and one result with the status indicator P for a for-period. However, there can be several results with the status indicator O for a for-period.

Example

1. You run regular payroll for period 05.

• The system generates the original result 05 in 05 and assigns it the status indicator A.

1. Retroactive accounting to period 05 takes place in period 06.

• The system changes the status indicator of the original result 05 in 05 from A to P.

• The system generates a retroactive accounting result for period 05 (05 in 06) and assigns the status indicator A.

1. In period 07, further retroactive accounting to period 05 is performed.

• The system changes the status indicator of the original result 05 in 05 from P to O.

• The system changes the status indicator of the retroactive accounting result 05 in 06 from A to P.

• The system generates another retroactive accounting result for period 05 (05 in 07) and assigns it the status indicator A.

1. In period 08, further retroactive accounting to period 05 is performed.

• The system changes the status indicator of the retroactive accounting result 05 in 06 from P to O.

• The system changes the status indicator of the retroactive accounting result 05 in 07 from A to P.

• The system generates another retroactive accounting result for period 05 (05 in 08) and assigns it the status indicator A.
